Stephanie Wenger jumped aboard the Beauty Bus and visited Los Angeles resources for caregivers.   The economic recession has created a new wave of welfare applicants. Len Ly meets some of the families turning to public services to make ends meet.   A new development that will give drivers an alternative mode of transportation is causing a stir. Reporter Evelyn Padilla visited one community where this project has not received such a warm welcome.

The job market is getting more competitive as people lose their jobs. Many people are turning to the green industry for options. Carollyn Nguyen visits a college that offers a "green curriculum."   The rising rate of food insecurity in Los Angeles has more and more parents relying on the school district to provide their children with the nutrition they need.   California has become one of the nation's biggest melting pots. This has brought the city of Los Angeles food from all different walks of life ... but you don't even have to walk into a restaurant to find it.
