Free Clinic

A clinic will provide free medical services to LA residents without health insurance.

Residents of Los Angeles who do not have health insurance will gain access to medical care at a free health clinic.

Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas talks about the free clinic.

LA County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas joined with the founder of Remote Area Medical, Stan Brock, to announce that a free clinic will be held April 25 to May 3.

The clinic will be held at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. A similar event last year, held at the Forum in Inglewood, brought medical care to more than 14,000 people over the course of eight days. The facility offered health, dental, and vision care.

Remote Area Medical says the event planners are prepared to treat up to 10,000 patients, but still need more medical and non-medical volunteers.
