Every year, there’s one day when USC football players get to show NFL scouts what they’ve got while on home turf.  USC’s Pro Day always draws a large number of spectators.  Last year, the talk of the town was mainly about Mark Sanchez, Brian Cushing, Rey Maualuga, and Clay Matthews.  This year, it’s safe to say Taylor Mays, Damian Williams, and Stafon Johnson are the ones to watch.

Eighteen players showcased their talents today on Cromwell Field.  Here are some times from the 40 as reported by NFL Scouts.

Charles Brown - 5.25

Jeff Byers - 5.09

Everson Griffen - 4.59

Will Harris - 4.59

Nick Howell - 5.07

Stafon Johnson - 4.62

Kevin Thomas - 4.43

Mays didn’t run the 40 today.  Scouts will have to use his time from the combine.  They’re somewhere around 4.2 to 4.4.  The safety did participate in position drills today.
