The Los Angeles County Fire Department teamed up with firefighters from Culver City, El Segundo and the Los Angeles City Fire Department to prepare for the upcoming brushfire season.
The L.A. County Fire Department used smoke machines to simulate fake brush and spot fires in Baldwin Hills today.
The multi-agency wildfire training exercise was designed to put firefighters through the motions of dealing with spreading wildfires as brushfire season approaches.
Firefighters at the event said the training exercise allowed them to learn how to work together with a number of different squads to fight fires that move quickly and can be hard to control.
