Murphy Troy Revealed

The opposite hitter sat down with ATVN's Jordan Lee to discuss his new leadership role this season and what he hopes to do after he leaves USC.

Junior opposite hitter Murphy Troy is one of the most decorated volleyball players at USC and one of the top players in the nation. So it is not a surprise than he does not shy away from praising the game that has become such a huge part of his life.

Troy loves the fact that volleyball is a team sport which does not provide much time to relax. He appreciates the fact that all players on the court are held accountable. However, while he likes these aspects of the game, he also enjoys the few moments that he gets to rest.

While he only has one more full year of playing volleyball at USC, Troy shows no signs of slowing down after college. In the future, he hopes to play professional volleyball overseas. He has already gained a lot of experience playing with various national teams.

This season, Troy is a captain, giving him a new sense of leadership. He hopes to lead the Trojans to a victory when they face off against UCSB tomorrow at 7 pm at the Galen Center. The team looks to bounce back after losing five of the last seven games. The Trojans are currently ranked number seven after being ranked number one in the country for the first four weeks of the season.
