Kristen Steach

Executive Producer
Torrance, CA

Kristen is a senior double-majoring in Broadcast & Digital Journalism and Spanish. She is currently the Monday Executive Producer at ATVN. 

This is Kristen’s eighth semester working at ATVN. She has also been a news producer, news reporter, weather anchor, video journalist, director, technical director, and sports volunteer, among other positions. She was one of the first multimedia reporters for ATVN Close-up.

Kristen is currently interning at ABC7 in the Online News Department. She has previously interned for Fox News Channel’s Los Angeles Bureau, where she worked with news and entertainment producers. She wrote an original article for and interviewed entertainment industry professionals including Director Rob Reiner and American Idol Finalist Kris Allen.

Kristen has also interned at KNBC and Telemundo in Los Angeles. During these internships, she not only wrote scripts and coordinated interviews from the newsroom, but also accompanied reporters out in the field for day-of-air stories and live breaking news. At KNBC, she shadowed feature reporter Cary Berglund and appeared with him in a daily digital news segment. At Telemundo, she interviewed officials and citizens in Spanish, including Senator Alex Padilla. 

Kristen lived and studied abroad in Spain, where she became fluent in Spanish. Kristen has a passion for writing and storytelling. She plans to further these passions by pursuing a career in Broadcast and Digital Journalism after graduation.
